Important Notice
NEVDIS data is intended to assist PPSR users with checking the VIN or Chassis Number they entered is accurate. Users can also view any data held on NEVDIS about a vehicle’s stolen or written-off status. A reminder that NEVDIS data is not always available or up-to-date when you do a search of a motor vehicle on the PPSR.
During this outage:
- PPSR searches using a VIN or Chassis will not include NEVDIS information
- PPSR registrations using a VIN or Chassis will not include NEVDIS information.
Please note: The absence of NEVDIS data from a PPSR search certificate or verification statement does not affect the data on the PPSR in relation to security interests. The PPSR does not provide refunds when NEVDIS data is not available or up-to-date. To obtain the NEVDIS data, a search of the PPSR by serial number at another time may provide that information.
